Neo-Pangea Boombox Blaster

During my internship at Neo-Pangea in West Reading, PA I was part of team that developed the world's most unique skip button. The Boombox Blaster is a model hot air balloon that when hit with a nerf dart, skips the song currently playing on the studio's Sonos sound system. I developed the physical computing components of the project using an Arduino. When the balloon is hit with a dart, a sensor in the balloon triggers the Arduino to activate a servo which raises the balloon. The Arduino also triggers flickering LEDs in the balloon to simulate a real flame. Working on the project was a great experience in prototyping and troubleshooting an installation that must remain functional indefinitely.
