The Projected Forecast

The Projected Forecast is a weather simulator that recreates current weather conditions at a number of locations throughout the world. The simulation uses an Arduino with a Wi-Fi shield to find the current weather through Temboo software and the Yahoo! Weather API. The Arduino triggers several relays that control a fan, water pump, and fog machine. It turns each piece of equipment off or on based on the weather conditions. The Arduino also sends the weather data to a webpage that updates with the current location and weather conditions. The webpage is projected onto a plexiglass silhouette of a city skyline to create the main visual for the installation.
